-Council boss commends team for developmental project
The Chairman of Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju, (FCA,FCTI), has been honoured with an Excellence Award.
The award was bestowed on him by the Ipakodo All -Stars Football Team for his developmental strides targeted at the youths in Ikorodu West LCDA.
Dr. Fatai Abiodun Abatan, Chairman, Ipakodo All – Stars team and a Member, Governing Council, Lagos State Sports Commission, while welcoming the council boss to the club’s end of the year party, commended him for fulfilling his campaign promises, especially in the area of supporting grassroots sports in the council.
He charged the Chairman not to relent but keep the good work going.
Hon. Sulaimon, in his remarks, thanked the Ipakodo All-stars for the laudable project (Vocational Training Centre) that they are embarking upon in Ipakodo Primary School.
He also donated cash towards the completion of the project.
In the same vein, the council Chairman also presented cash gifts to the oldest man and only lady on the field of play for their outstanding performances.
Hon. Jessica Enitan Oba, the Leader of the legislative Arm, Ikorodu West LCDA, who is the Councilor representing the Ipakodo ward, also speaking, thanked the team for their laudable project and promised to paint the building after completion.
She was also presented with an award for her humanitarian services.
