Government officials, important dignitaries and other Lagos residents have continued to visit the five Nigerians reading to set a new world record in the Guinness World Record in Longest Marathon Read Aloud by a Team.

Mr Oyadipe A. A, the Director, Lagos Library Service, on Friday, led his team to visit Mr Olubayode Treasure and four others who are reading for 480 hours starting from Wednesday, December 1 to Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at the Herbert Macaulay Library, 338, Herbert Macaulay Way, Sabo, Yaba.

Also at the venue to visit and encourage the readers were Mr Olusoji Oyawoye, the Chief Executive Officer, Resource Intermediary Limited and Mr Hameed Olalekan Aroyewun, a former Commissioner nominee from Ikorodu Division of Lagos State and aspirant for the Ikorodu Constituency II.

Olubayode Treasure Olawunmi is leading other members of iRead Afrika Foundation – Zainab Wakil Mustapha and Maryam Abba Sadu, both from Borno State, Doubra Yeri from Bayelsa State and Preciouslight Ukachi from Imo State.

The team is aiming at mobilizing funds to build twenty libraries in rural areas across the country and also encouraging reading culture in Nigeria and Africa at large.
