Ikorodu -Born University Vice Chancellor, Prof. Adeniyi Agunbiade To Deliver 20th Prof. Adegbola Memorial Lecture

Ikorodu – born University Vice Chancellor, Prof Adeniyi Agunbiade, a Professor of Animal Science and Feed Technology, has been scheduled to deliver the 20th edition of the Prof. A. A. Adegbola Memorial Lecture.

 Prof. Agunbiade is the Vice Chancellor, McPherson University, Ogun State.

He will be speaking on the topic, “All Flesh Is Grass: The Dimension of Non – Ruminant Feeding and Nutrition”, at the lecture slated for the Ikorodu Town Hall on Saturday, November 6, 2021, with Senator Mikhail Adetokunbo Abiru, the Senator representing the Lagos East Senatorial District, as the Chairman of the occasion.

The lecture, which is being organized by Ikorodu Division Resource Development Group (IDRDG) in honour of late Prof. Adegbola, the pioneer Chairman of the group, was instituted in the year 2000 and aimed at spurring discussions on contemporary issues relating to Agriculture and Allied Sciences with a view to proffering solutions to identified problems.

The IDRDG pioneer Chairman was a former Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University), Ile – Ife, and had chaired many Boards at Federal and State levels during his life time.

The late Professor, who contributed immensely to the development of Ikorodu Division, was also a Consultant to many organizations.

After Prof. Anya O. Anya, the President of Nigerian Academy of Science delivered the inaugural lecture, many outstanding scholars like Prof. Q.B.O. Anthonio, Prof. A.M.A. Imevbore, Prof. O.S Adegoke, Prof. Wale Omole, Prof. O.L. Oke, Dr S.O. Talabi, Prof. Nimbe Adedipe, Engr. (Prof.) Patrick Nggody, Prof. O.O. Onwudike, Prof. Michael Oladimeji  Faborode, Prof. Emmanuel Babafunso Sonaya and Prof. Babajide C. Ayodele Matanmi among others had also been made guest speakers at the annual scholarly event.

The last guest speaker, Prof. (Mrs) Simisola M. Odeyinka delivered her paper in 2020.
