The central campaign committee to help in achieving the aspiration of Hon. Azeez Abiodun Jimoh (Olosugbo) as chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, has been inaugurated.
The committee was inaugurated on Friday, May 14, 2021, at the Hon. Sanai Agunbiade’s Constituency Office, Grammar School, Oke Ota Ona, Ikorodu.
The team was charged with the responsibility of promoting its symbol (Hon. Olosugbo) and his programmes across Ikorodu as contained in its campaign agenda tagged ‘#Agenda2.1 REPOSITIONING IKORODU FOR GRESTNESS’.
The formidable team comprises of ten men and women who are grassroots politicians and community mobilisers.
The Director – General (DG) of the team is Mr Shaheed Omobolaji (Pappy) while his deputy is Mrs. Omolara Abayomi.
The Campaign committee’s secretary is Alhaji A.G Sodiq while Mr Afeez Awobajo will be serving as the Assistant Secretary.
Other officers of the group are Mr Adewunmi Amusa as Director Youth affairs and Jibade Ogunsanwo as Deputy Director, Youth Affairs, Com. Kehinse Okwowo, Director Women Affairs, Mrs Adekoya Adenike, Deputy Director Women, Engr. Adeoye Abiola, Director of finance, Mrs Anjorin Rashidat, Director of special duties and Hon. Gbenga Awobajo, Director of Mobilzation and contact.
Hon. Olosugbo, speaking with THE IMPACT after the inauguration, said that the first task of the committee is to ensure that favourable image was created for his campaign, reach out to the majority of the party members and convince them about his aspiration and sell #Agenda2.1, which according to him, is meant to reposition Ikorodu. The two – term Councillor also appealed to leaders and members of the APC to support his aspiration and vote him to reposition the party and Ikorodu Local Government
