Wale Jagun
A healthcare professional and humanitarian activist, Prince Adedoyin Eniola Ogunbiyi, has expressed his ambition to vie for the Chairmanship position of Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area of Ikorodu Division, Lagos, Southwest, Nigeria.
The young politician was born in the eighties into the family of Chief Bolajokotex, the Baale Idafa – Odoguloye and Olootu Omoba Ogbonyari Akarigbo Ikorodu branch and Deaconess Comfort Monsurat Ogunbiyi (Nee Atunrashe), at Itagbodo, Ikorodu.
He is a bonafide Ikorodu born, both paternally and maternally, and a Prince from the Rademo Odoguloye and Anoko/Ogbonyari Akarigbo ruling houses.
Academics & Professional Qualifications:
As a professional in healthcare with several years of experience, Prince Adedoyin bagged RN, ROHN, BNsc, Msc, Public Health (Health Management) from the University of Lagos, Masters Environmental Management (MEM) in view at LAUTECH, Ogbomosho.
His quest for education and further knowledge in his chosen field made him to pursue more professional qualifications and acquired NEBOSH, ISO 45001 ( occupational health and safety Management), Lead Auditor KBS CERTIFICATION SERVICES IRCA APPROVED, ISO 9001: 2008 ( QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM), Lead Auditor KBS Certification Services IRCA Approved, American Heart Association and Resuscitation Society of Nigeria, Basic Life Support (CPR and AED) and Leadership and Administrator Certificate from Washington D.C., USA.
He is also a member of some professional bodies like the Institute of Occupational Safety Health, U.K (IOSH), Institute of Safety Practitioner of Nigeria (ISPON), and Fellow Institute of Professional Managers and Administrators of Nigeria (IPMA).
Work Experience:
He has worked at Hygiea HMO Limited, a foremost Health Insurance Organization (2008 – 2010) and Lagoon Hospitals Limited (2010 –2012) from where he moved to a multinational company, Cadbury Nigeria PLC.
At Cadbury, he worked as an occupational Medics/Safety Advisor till date.
Private Practice:
Prince Adedoyin also engaged in private practice as a waste manager.
He is the Managing Director, Jokotex Nigeria Limited, a company dealing in waste management. He is an investor in waste management and runs his business in partnership with the Lagos Waste Management Agency (LAWMA) and has recorded giant stride in spite of challenges in rural areas where he operates.
According to him, the experience has given him vast knowledge of the needs of the people and his environment.
“This has also given us a better opportunity to understand the needs of our people and have an holistic assessment of our locality, being a rural area”.
In the course of managing waste, Prince Adedoyin and his company have won an award as Best Performing Operator, Lagos East Senatorial District for the year 2020. The award was presented by LAWMA in recognition of Adedoyin’s pivotal role and administrative drive in the business.
This award also led to his appointment into the State Ad-hoc Committee on Revamping and Road Map on Waste Management in Lagos State.
Prince Adedoyin is also the Managing Consultant/Chief Executive Officer of Hicare Health Limited, a Public Health Consultancy outfit and Health Safety & Environment expertise. The company has been offering free health and other services to the people as his own way of giving back to the society.
The organization collaborated with Optimal Cancer Care to organise a free cervical cancer screening for women; prostate screening for men and diabetes and hypertensive screenings for all participants at the medical outreach programme.
They also distributed free medications to hundreds of people across the six councils in the division.
His humanitarian organization has also provided free medical screening for women and men in the community and also provided palliatives to residents and party members during COVID -19 pandemic.
The organisation also organized a football tournament and promoted sporting activities to engage youths across the six local government areas in Ikorodu division.
Political Engagements:
Prince Adedoyin is a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and has been following the progressive party since Alliance for Democracy days.
He is an exco member of the party at the Ward level.
As a grassroots mobiliser and community activist, Prince Adedoyin has consistently engaged people at the grassroots as well as members and leaders of his great party, APC.
He is a well-known face at various party meetings/structures at Zone, Ward and LGA levels.
As an active politician, Prince Adedoyin is the Coordinator of BATNETWORK Vision 2023, Ikorodu North LCDA, a pressure group working towards actualizing Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Presidential ambition in 2023.
He is a happily married man and is blessed with children.
Prince Adedoyin is a sociable, cerebral, hardworking and peaceful person.
