Hon. Benson Gets First COVID – 19 Vaccine Jab, Urges Residents To Do Same

Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, the representative of the Ikorodu Federal Constituency and the Chairman, House Committee on Defense, has urged residents to ensure that they take the COVID – 19 vaccine.

The two – term lawmaker said that the vaccine is a good preventive measure to guide against the ravaging coronavirus panademic.

He was vaccinated at the Igbogbo Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Ikorodu Division of Lagos State, Southwest, Nigeria.

The Chairman of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA accompanied the lawmaker to the medical facility for the vaccination.

Hon. Benson made the appeal when he spoke with THE IMPACT after he was celebrated by the residents of Igbe whom he helped to facilitate the repair of the road in their community.

“The experience was good. I took it smiling and it didn’t hurt me. It is a good preventive mechanism to guide against the dreaded COVID – 19 virus”, he said.

“It was easy and the queue was short. The frontline workers were efficient.

“I want to urge everyone who hasn’t taken to please ensure they go and take it as soon as possible”, Hon. Benson appealed.
