LASIEC May Conduct LG Elections In May

If the news and activities going on around the Lagos State Electoral Commission (LASIEC) are anything to go by, then the much – awaited local government elections may hold in May, though, that depends on the approval of Governor Babajide Sanwo – Olu.

THE IMPACT gathered the elections have been fixed for May by LASIEC but with no specific date.

To this end, non –sensitive materials, we gathered, have been moved to various councils in the state in the last few weeks.

However, sources within LASIEC informed our reporter that sensitive materials like voters’ register and others are not going to be moved until the government announced date for the election.

It was also gathered that LASIEC is also planning a retreat and training for its staff to refresh them on planning and execution of elections.
