Ikorodu Youth Movement Chieftain, Godwin Oke, Buries Father In Imota

Pa Taiwo Daniel Oke, a.k.a  ‘Omo Poroye’, the father of Mr Ola – Oluwa Godwin Oke, a member of the Board of Trustees (BOT), Ikorodu Division Youth Movement (IDYM) and one of the initiators of first – ever Ikorodu Division Economic Summit and Co – Coordinator, Concerned Ikorodu Division Youth, has been buried.

He was 74 years old.

Pa Oke, who was born in July 3, 1947, died in Lagos on February 3, 2021, and was buried on Friday, 12, 2021, in Imota by the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) , ‘It is Well’ Parish , Imota.

His internment took place at his home, 14, Akeju Estate, Library Road, Behind Lagos Asphalt Plant, Imota, Ikorodu, Lagos.

The Service of Songs/Christian Wake Keep was held at his house, 5, Funsho Williams Avenue, opp NITEL, Iponri, Surulere, on Thursday, February 11, 2021.

The Christian Wake was conducted by the RCCG, Newlife Parish.

At the burial were his surviving wife, children, grandchildren, family members, friends, community developers in Imota, and representatives of various youth groups in Ikorodu Division.

Many of the residents that spoke about late Pa Taiwo Daniel Oke described him as father of all, a community developer and an old man with the heart and body of a youth who loved reading daily newspapers, especially The Nation.

His son, Godwin Oke, while speaking with THE IMPACT at the burial, thanked family members, friends and associates that graced the occasion.

He stated that the final burial date will be announced as soon as the family makes a decision regarding it.
