The House of Representatives member representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Rep. Babajimi Benson, has said that the ongoing revalidation and registration by All Progressives Congress (APC), is to show that the party remains the biggest in Nigeria and an invitation to everybody to be part of governance.

Hon. Benson, speaking after revalidating his membership of the party in Ikorodu on Saturday, February 13, 2021, in the presence of the State Supervisory Committee of the APC Membership Revalidation and Registration Exercise, led by its Chairman, Mohammed Bashir, also said the ongoing exercise is to authenticate the membership of the party, know the party’s strength and gather data to make things more efficient and effective for the party.

He said that the exercise has been seamless and will achieve its set objectives.

“From the feedback from the state actors, they said Lagos has been the best so far. The exercise has been seamless and we believe that in the fullness of time, we would achieve what the party is set out to achieve”, Hon. Benson said.

The federal lawmaker encouraged young people to see the ongoing exercise as an opportunity to participate in the governance of the state and country as a whole.

“It is time to get involved and young people must take advantage of the APC Registration exercise and be part of the governance structure in the country.

“Our democracy is evolving and the ongoing party registration and revalidation is an opportunity for young people, independents, and progressive-minded citizens to get involved in the structure of our political system”, he emphasised.
