She said that the visit is a routine affair for every new Chairperson of NAOWA as it affords her the opportunity to familiarize with the important stakeholders within 81 Division, while adding that it is important that the Division maintains good relationship with its host community.

Mrs Adebayo also stated that the association is concerned about vulnerable people in the society and usually have programmes to reach out to them.

While reacting to the new NAOWA Chairperson’s promise to continue with her predecessor’s project for lkorodu, the monarch commended the leadership of the association for ensuring continuity of its programmes.

“I observe that there has been continuity in the programmes of your association. Even though your husbands don’t stay long in a particular post, but from what I have seen, anyone that emerges as Chairperson always continue with programmes of her predecessor.

The monarch also used the opportunity to commend the 174 Battalion, Odongunyan Army Barracks, lkorodu, for always responding to the requests of Ikorodu towards the maintenance of peace and order and expressed optimism in continuation of the cordial relationship between the town and the Barracks.

“174 Battalion has always responded to our calls in any part of Ikorodu. Your men are always with us during festivals and we are looking forward to the continuation of this good relationship.

“I also want to thank you for your quick intervention in one of our communities (Isiu) when one of the residents decided to disturb the peace of the town recently”.
