Ikorodu Central Mosque To organise Online Sallah Prayer, Ram Slaughtering Session

The Ikorodu Central Mosque has announced that a special ‘Khutbah’ prayer and ram slaughtering session will hold online on Friday, July 31, 2020, in commemoration of the 2020 ‘Ileya’ (Eid Kabir) celebration.

According to information released to THE IMPACT, the special online Eid ul Adha session will be led by the Grand Chief Imam of Ikorodu Division and Chief Imam of Ikorodu Central Mosque, Fadhilatul Sheikh Seifudeen Ayinla Ademoritan Olowo-Oribi.

The special prayer session, which will be air live on Facebook,‘www.facebook.com/theikoroducentralmosqueyouth’, will commence by 8.00am prompt and will feature special ‘Khutbah’, after  observing two rakkah prayer which will be led by the Chief Imam before Muslim faithful slaughter their rams in sacrifice to Allah on Sallah day.

Mr Hameed Ganiyu, one of the Ikorodu Central Mosque Youth leaders, who spoke with THE IMPACT, said that the online session is important since Muslims will not be observing the eid prayer in compliance with the government’s COVID – 19 protocols.

He added that the initiative is powered by the Ikorodu Central Mosque Youths and enjoined Muslims to watch out for the the online programme.
