Coronavirus: Lagos, Julius Berger Disinfect Bus Stops In Ikorodu

Officials from Lagos State disinfecting Idi – Iroko/Owutu Bus Stop in Ikorodu towards curtailing the spread of COVID-19 on Monday.

As part of efforts to curtail the spread of Coronavirus, Lagos State Government in conjunction with the construction giant, Julius Berger today, Monday, April 27, 2020, disinfected major bus stops in Ikorodu.

The State Government is partnering Julius Berger on disinfecting and fumigation of some major bus stops and roads in the state.

Our reporter witnessed men fully kitted with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) fumigating Idi – Iroko and Majidun BRT Bus stops with the construction giant’s trucks and tanker.

Speaking at the flag off of the exercise earlier in the month, the Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Mr Tunji Bello, said the gesture from Julius Berger Plc underscored the determination of the present administration to secure the lives of residents.

While commending Julius Berger for partnering with state government, Bello added that the state government will continue to adopt measures to ensure the Coronavirus pandemic does not spread in the state and means of community transmission is curtailed.
