“For me, this has always been my habit ever since my childhood and it’s also a family inheritance. I have a record of philanthropic”, he said.

“The truth of the matter is that people are suffering, there is hardship in the country and if people like us don’t rise to the occasion, then, that means we have failed in our duty to humanity”.

He called on the All Progressives Congress (APC) led federal and state governments to include people in other parties in the scheme of things to ensure transparency in the handling of the CONVID – 19 cases in the country.

“The federal government and state government should stop playing politics at this period. COVID-19 is a global pandemic that needs everybody to be onboard. In fact, members of the opposition parties should be made members of the committees on COVID-19 for the purpose of transparency and fairness”.

He added that providing relief materials to the homes of the vulnerable people should not be a problem if the government is sincere.

Packages distributed.

“If PHCN could distribute the monthly bill to every home in the country on a monthly basis, this alone should be a map for us as a country that we can be sincere with the distribution of the relieve packages. All we need is sincerity of purpose”.

Lamina, however, appealed to privileged individuals to assist in cushioning the effects of the economic situation in their respective areas.

“Nigeria is so blessed with wealthy people. As a matter of fact, God has been so kind with us to the extent that on every street, you will see one individual or more that God has blessed. Such individual should strive to help people within his or her neighbourhood during  this period and beyond”, he appealed.
