It was tributes galore for late Pa Olatunji Owolabi as media guru, important personalities, journalists, as well as residents of Ikorodu gathered to honor the late veteran broadcaster at an event tagged, ‘Legendary Night of Honour’, organized to celebrate the life and times of the deceased.

Also in attendance were late veteran broadcaster’s widow, children and family members who were invited to partake in the event.

The historic event, which was the first of its kind to be organised by journalists in Ikorodu in honor of a dead colleague, was chaired by Otunba Ayodele Eleso, the Agbaakin of Ikorodu kingdom and former Commissioner for Information in Lagos State, and was held at the Factor Corridor, Olubi Street, Ikorodu, on Thursday, March 19, 2020.

Some of the guests that graced the occasion were Prince Ganny Awobajo, first Editor in Ikorodu Division and the publisher of the Ikorodu News, Alhaji Monzor Olowosago, Publisher of Oriwu Sun, the foremost community newspaper, Hon. Adeola Banjo, Chairman, Ikorodu North LCDA, Hon. Wasiu Adesina (represented by Comrade Adeleke Akadiri), Builder Sesan Daini (represented by his Special Adviser on Information, Mr Shakiru Seidu),  Prince Abiola Kosoko, Chief Executive Officer, Origin Gardens, Olori Sola Kosoko, a presenter with the Lagos Television, and Comrade Oluwafemi Fakolade, Chairman, Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Ikoroodu.
