The Representative of the Ikorodu Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, has assured his constituents that he will be rededicating himself to serving them better in the New Year.

In a release signed by the second term lawmaker titled, ‘Vision 2020: Wishes To Realities’, he also urged residents to always see the bigger picture rather than thinking about immediate obstacles, challenges and setbacks.

His message read thus:

“Every year comes with lots of expectations, desires, and wishes which require personal sacrifices, perseverance and determination to accomplish either as individuals or as a team.

“As we open a new chapter in the Gregorian calendar, I urge us to see the big picture by seeing beyond immediate obstacles, challenges and setbacks.

“We should not be afraid to take small bold steps towards our big dreams because in the end, every step matters. It is not how far but how well. Personally, I trust in your judgement to make big strides this 2020.

“This New Year, I will be rededicating myself to serving you better. The last five years of representing you have been intriguing with happenstances that have strengthened my resolve to do more. We would be scaling up on some of our previous activities and adding new ones in a bid to ensure  the passing of appropriate laws, zero hunger, provision of opportunities for our youths and building a more secured environment.

“I salute the efforts and courage that our armed forces have exhibited towards keeping us safe and united so far. No doubt, a lot needs to be done, we might not be able to pay for the sacrifices, but we won’t forget them.

“Finally, in 2020, let us all quickly draw out a plan to ensure our wishes become realities. A sage once said, ‘If our hearts and mind can conceive it, we can do it.

“Happy New Year Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Happy New Year Nigeria”.
