– Labi Oasis, Headway Event to give support, add colours
Plans are in motion to hold another edition of the annual exciting charity concert, Giving Love With Fun 4 Xmas (GLOWFUX).
The project GLOWFUX Charity Concert brings together folks from several less privilege homes, correctional centres and motherless homes and give them unique feelings of the Christmas celebration with varieties of fun ranging from games, gifts, performances by known and upcoming artistes and many more.
Blessing T. Erivona, Coordinator, GLOWFUX 2019, in a release, stated that GLOWFUX provides “a unique atmosphere where children of the haves and have-nots hang out together, playing and sharing happiness without any discrimination.
“It is also an avenue for members of the general public, specially invited as guests, to present relief items to the orphanages in attendance “, Erivona stated in the release.
According to the organisers, this year’s GLOWFUX will come up at the Labi Oasis due to space as more guests are expected to attend.
The maiden edition of the fun filled event was held at the Divine Heritage Home, Gintin, while the last three editions were held at Fun City, along Lagos Road, Ikorodu.
The release also states that the charity concert would come up on December 26(Boxing Day) instead of the Christmas day.
“Having experienced an impressive outing during the 2018 edition of GLOWFUX where a remarkable attendance was recorded, the need to host the event at a more spacious venue became sacrosanct.
“Also, having put into consideration the challenge attending the event on Christmas day poses to many who desire to attend and present relief items and gifts to the orphanages, a change in date became inevitable.
“Hence, in view of the above, GLOWFUX is now scheduled to hold on every Boxing Day (26th of December). And this year’s edition of the event, which is fast gaining prominence within Ikorodu division and evidently spreading across Lagos State due to its principle which is “sharing in the spirit of love”, is billed to hold at Labi Oasis Cinema, Labi Oasis B/Stop (Odo-Eran), Ikorodu Lagos.
“In line with our vision as organizers to always have an improved edition, this year’s event of GLOWFUX is posed to record new additions which are free film show for children (family movie), sponsored by Labi Oasis Cinema, bouncy castle, trampoline (sponsored by Headway Events), Santa Claus hamper and many more”.
In addition, the release states that another set of GLOWFUX Ambassadors would be inaugurated during this year’s edition to further propagate the ideal of the charity concert.
“Also, this year’s event will witness induction of new GLOWFUX Young Ambassadors to serve as GLOWFUX ambassadors within their immediate communities (schools, homes, worship/religious centres, etc) to propagate the GLOWFUX vision.
“The GLOWFUX Young Ambassadors was introduced as part of the annual event with the aims of giving children between ages 5 to 17 early life exposure to the beauty of caring for others, and giving them early life exposure in championing worthy cause and building network of positive minded people.
“Another exciting activity to look forward to during this year’s GLOWFUX is the award of 2019 GLOWFUX Man & Woman of the year. It is, therefore, worthy to note that the first recipients of this annual award segment are the Ekiti-born resourceful banker and philanthropist, Dr. Osinkolu Olusegun Ayodele and the successful herbal slimming expert , Quincy Olasumbo Ayodele respectively.”
Entertainment practitioners pencilled down to sooth the souls of both the children and adults at the GLOWFUX 2019 Carol include Doyin Kukoyi, Da’Fresh Olorin, Sola Kosoko, King Fatai Akanbi Valentine, Nike Peller, Oluomo Coded Jokes, Yewande Adekoya-Abiodun, TQ Bello, Arewa, Phazehop, Olumix, Dharnniella, Richy Manny, Meyrah, Sniffy Fantasy, Ogbono Comedian, Talktalk, FKM Comedian, Hycon, Six Tigers Dancers, DJ MAP, DJ Slim Fatuga, Dom Sax, Evang.
