Joy Cometh FC To Represent Ikorodu Division In National League

Joy Cometh Football Club, a team owned by a leading Church in Ikorodu, Joy Cometh Ministries, will be representing Ikorodu Division and indeed, Lagos State, in the 2019/20 Nigerian National League season.

The team , which won the Ikorodu Divisional Football league in 2016/17 season , will be playing at the Agege Stadium due to lack of standard stadium in Ikorodu.

Joy Cometh will be playing in the Southern Conference B2 alongside Stationery Stores FC, Bayelsa United FC, Calabar Rovers FC, Crown FC, Atete FC, Bendel Insurance FC and Romo Stars.

Nigerian National League is divided into four groups – two each in Southern and Northern Conferences.

Meanwhile, the winners of the Ikorodu Divisional Football League for the 2018/19 season, TCCG FC, also owned by a Church, is currently playing in the State League.

Alhaji Luqman Sonibare, the Chairman, Ikorodu Divisional Football Association, told THE IMPACT that the 2019/20 Ikorodu Divisional Football League season would commence before the end of the year.
