A total of 17 political parties would be doing battle come March 2, 2019, for the much coveted Ikorodu Constituency I State Assembly seat, while 13 parties would be contesting for the seat in Ikirodu Constituency II.
The Majority Leader of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Sanai Oyeniyi Bolanle Agunbiade, a three term lawmaker, is the current occupant of the position and he is seeking re-election for the 4th term. With the final list released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the coast is cleared for him to once again contest for the position he has been occupying since 2007 in the coming general elections.
Also on the final list are the candidates of the opposition parties, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mukaila Abiola Ajagun-Lamina; Alliance for Democracy, (AD), Abayomi Bork Ayanlaja; African Democratic Congress (ADC), Prince Adeyemi Odofin, Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN), Balogun Olatunbosun Rotimi and ABP, Osho Semiu Adetokunbo among others.
Hon. Nurudeen Saka Solaja is the APC State Assembly candidate in Ikorodu Constituency II. He is seeking re-election for the second term.
Also, Mr Aro Moshood Abiola (PDP), Mr Adegoke Ademola David (AD), Mrs Oyebanjo Adeola Islamiyat (ADC) and Mr Osinloye Adebayo (NCP) among other candidates made INEC final list for Ikorodu Constituency II for the State Assembly seat election.
Also on the list for the Assembly seat are Mr Omobolaji Olohunwa Oshinowo (ADP) candidate for Ikorodu Constituency II and Sanni Modupe Bamitale (ADP) candidate for Ikorodu Constituency I.
