Hon. Saka Nurudeen Solaja, Member, Lagos State House of Assembly

Member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Ikorodu Constituency II, Hon. Saka Nurudeen Solaja, may not be facing his old political rival, Mr Sesan Akeju, in the Assembly primary election for the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket in Ikorodu Constituency II.

The peace deal was brokered between the two politicians on Tuesday(October 2,2018).

THE IMPACT had reported some few days back that Mr Sesan Akeju would be challenging Hon. Solaja, the incumbent occupant of the seat, Hon. Solaja, in the primary election which has now been slated for Friday, October 5.

Mr Akeju, who contested against the incumbent in the 2015 general elections on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had recently decamped to the APC.

THE MPACT gathered that the reconciliation meeting that finally led to Mr Akeju’s decision to step down for Hon. Solaja was brokered by the Chairman of Imota Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Wasiu Agoro.

With this development, Hon. Nurudeen Solaja would go into the primary election unopposed with the assurance of securing the party’s ticket to contest the main election in 2019 .
