Then, this is first time it’s happening in Ikorodu and even the spectators, they heard about it today and you can see, we have over 5,000 people here, that means Ikorodu people are sports loving people”.

Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba, Vice Chairman, Ikorodu Local Government, while also speaking said, “I’m elated. It’s awesome feeling here with the amount of people here, it’s like wow. You know when I was saying Ikorodu my football, my Lagos, I can’t but thank His Excellency Governor Akinwunmi Ambode because he has brought about the spirit of communalism in Ikorodu; everybody coming together to share happiness and fun. For now, we’re one Lagos, one Ikorodu and we can’t just think of any other Governor come 2019 than “Ambo one more time”. We are happy because we are loving it.”

I pray by the grace of God, he’s still coming back once more.”

When we heard that they are doing this in other local governments, the Majority Leader liaised with them and today, we are having this here. We just want to thank Governor Ambode and we assure him of our support for his second term ambition”.
