It was yet another impactful representation by Hon. Babajimi Benson, member, Federal House of Representatives, for the people of Ikorodu division on Saturday, March 31, 2018, as the performing lawmaker commissioned two laudable constituency projects to mark his birthday celebration.

While an ICT Centre was commissioned at Ayangbure Primary School in Ikorodu Local Government to advance the knowledge base of the pupils, especially in computer technology, a block of 3-Classrooms was commissioned at Methodist Primary School, Oke-Eletu in Ijede Local Council Development Area, both in Ikorodu division of  Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria.

The ICT Centre was named, “Prince Abiodun Ogunleye ICT Centre” in honour of Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, an illustrious son of Ikorodu who was a former Lagos State Deputy Governor and also a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

At the commissioning ceremony, the lawmaker, in his address,  stated that constituency projects are means of facilitating federal government’s projects for the benefit of the citizenry.

“These projects, which would be of great benefits to the Ikorodu federal constituency and impact positively on the standard of our education, are facilitated through the much maligned constituency projects that Nigerians do not want to hear about”, Hon. Benson stated.

“If there are no constituency projects, how would I have been able to facilitate these projects for my people?” , he asked rhetorically.

“I used my capacity to facilitate these projects that are of immense benefits. I’m  one of the lawmakers who have facilitated and executed more federal projects to his constituency through this means( Constituency projects).

“We shall continue to bring more projects that would empower our youths in Ikorodu division and make them stand up to compete favourably with their counterparts in any parts of the world”, Hon. Benson assured.

As a mark of honour to the former deputy governor of Lagos State, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, Hon. Benson announced that the ICT Centre would be named after him for his impactful leadership style.

While commissioning the block of 3-classrooms in Ijede, Hon. Benson stated that the projects are usually executed by the necessary ministries once they are facilitated by him.
