Makbet FC of Ibeshe in Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area has qualified for the final match of the 10th edition of the Bolowotan Memorial Gold Cup.

The club defeated Excel FC 8 – 9 via penalty shootouts after playing a goalless draw at the regulation time of the first semi final match played on Sunday, March 4, 2018, at the Police Barracks Playing Ground in Ikorodu.

The second semi final between the three time  winners of the tournament, A.A.C.C FC, and the Oga Boys FC failed to produce the second team that would be playing against Makbet FC in the final match which is yet to be fixed for a date.

In the highly tactical and technical match played on Saturday, March 10, 2018, also at the Police Barracks Playing Ground, both teams were unable to covert several chances created throughout the regulation time.
