Bamigbetan Charges LASRAB On Value Added Services

In continuation of his familiarization tour of Agencies under the Lagos State Ministry of Information and Strategy, the Commissioner in the Ministry, Mr. Kehinde Bamigbetan has charged the State Records & Archives Bureau (LASRAB) to introduce value-added services by packaging historical materials for public consumption such as production of books/journals on the history of various towns in the State.
Speaking during his familiarization tour to the Bureau, the Commissioner assured the Bureau of the installation of the second phase of the archives management system automated shelf before the end of the year.

He also informed the management team of the Agency that the proposal for the creation of Records Officer cadre to manage government records has been forwarded to the Governor and that Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has promised to give it a top priority.
Earlier, while receiving the Commissioner and his entourage, Director General of the Agency, Mr. Biodun Onayele, expressed delight on the visit and appreciated the achievement of the Commissioner within the short period of his assumption of duty.
He assured the Commissioner of the Bureau’s commitment to achieving its set goals and objectives in line with the present administration’s vision for the State in spite of some constraints.
