Jimi Benson emerge candidate for Ikorodu Federal Constituency election

Barrister Babajimi Benson has emerged as All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate after polling 635 votes to defeat seven other aspirants contesting for Ikorodu Federal House of Representatives’ ticket.

Otunba Olasunkanmi Tijani Jimoh came second with distance 230 votes followed by Primate Charles Odugbesi who polled 22 votes.

Others are Olanrewaju Sanusi, 9 votes, Otunba Fatai Olukoga, 9 votes, Anifowoshe Owolabi, 7 votes, Tahir Andu, 8 votes and Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba who was absence recorded no vote.

After Barrister Adedeji Ademuyiwa, the Returning Officer pronounced the young politician as the winner of the primary election, all the aspirants displayed spirits of good sportsmanship by embracing and congratulating each other for good contest.

THE IMPACT gathered that all the aspirants, after the election drove down to a popular Club House in where they are still dinning and winning at the time of filling this report. Primate Odugbesi who left the venue early in the counting was not with the team.
