Mr Akinwunmi Ambode the former Accountant-General of Lagos State and governorship aspirant on the platform of All Progressive Congress (APC) moved closer to fulfilling his governorship ambition by emerging the winner in the party’s governorship primary.
He garnered 3,735 votes to defeat thirteen other aspirants at the primary election which took place at Onikan Stadium, Lagos. Dr Femi Hamzat came second with 1201 votes, Senator Ganiu Olarewaju Solomon third with 272 votes and Rt. Hon. Adeyemi Ikuforiji fourth with 182 votes.
