On behalf of all members of ASUU-LASUSTECH, I write with deep respect and a strong sense of responsibility to appreciate your continued efforts in advancing the cause of education and good governance in Lagos State. Your commitment to excellence, infrastructural development, and institutional growth has not gone unnoticed, particularly within the academic community.
We are proud members of the Lagos State University of Science and Technology, Ikorodu, and we acknowledge the strides your administration has made in strengthening the education sector. These efforts have contributed significantly to creating an enabling environment for teaching, research, and innovation.
However, Your Excellency, we humbly appeal for the swift implementation of the Federal Government–ASUU Agreement as it affects state institutions, particularly our university. The agreement, which addresses critical issues such as staff welfare, earned academic allowances, funding for revitalization, and improved working conditions, remains central to sustaining the quality and stability of our tertiary education system.
Timely implementation of this agreement will not only boost staff morale but also enhance productivity, reduce industrial tensions, and ultimately improve the academic experience of our students. As dedicated staffers of this institution, we are committed to supporting your vision for a greater Lagos, but we believe that this can only be fully realized when the welfare and concerns of academic staff are adequately addressed.
Your Excellency, we trust in your sense of fairness, leadership, and commitment to excellence. We respectfully urge you to give this matter urgent attention in the interest of peace, progress, and the continued growth of higher education in Lagos State.
