The Chairman, Imota Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has urged Christians in his council to reflect and ensure that the principles of Palm Sunday celebration are imbibed.
Hon. Benson Sunday Ayodele said this while congratulating the Christian faithful on the Psalm Sunday celebration today.
”On this sacred occasion of Palm Sunday, I extend my warm greetings and heartfelt felicitations to all the Christian faithful in Imota Local Council Development Area and beyond.
“Palm Sunday reminds us of the triumphant entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem, a moment that symbolises humility, peace, and the fulfillment of divine purpose. It is a time to reflect on the enduring values of sacrifice, love, and unwavering faith, which remain essential to building a harmonious and progressive society.”
He also charged them to embrace unity, compassion and service to one another.
”As we begin the Holy Week, I encourage all residents of Imota LCDA to embrace the spirit of unity, compassion, and service to one another. Let us use this solemn period to renew our commitment to peaceful coexistence and collective development within our community.
”I wish all Christians a blessed Palm Sunday and a spiritually fulfilling Easter Season in advance. May this season bring renewed hope, joy, and prosperity to every home.”
