Following the full rehabilitation/reconstruction of Oliwo Amoju/Olayinka Road, a strategic link road that connects the ever -busy Igbogbo/Baiyeku road to Igbogbo/Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu road/Igbe Laara road in Igbogbo, the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Omoba Hameed Olalekan Aroyewun, has lightened up the road with solar – powered lights.
THE IMPACT reported the commencement of the installation of the solar – power lights early morning on Wednesday.
After the installation work was completed, the road was illuminated later in the day, bringing a new experience to the area.

When our reporter visited the road last night, residents were seen sitting outside, while shops were opened till very late in the night.
A resident, who accompanied our reporter while taken shots of the illuminated road, expressed his appreciation to the administration of Hameed Aroyewun, for bringing the road back to life after years of collapse.
He said that the social and economic lives of the area will be fully restored following the road’s reconstruction and installation of solar – powered lights.

A lady, who simply identified herself as Dammy, also thanked the council chairman over the development which she said will boost the economic activities of the area and also improve security.
The lighting up of the street with solar-powered street lights signalled the complete reconstruction of the collapsed road which started about five months ago.
