Hon. Benson Sunday Ayodele further emphasised that retirement is not an end, but the beginning of a new chapter filled with opportunities for rest, reflection, and continued societal impact.
He encouraged the retirees to remain ambassadors of good governance and to continue contributing to community development by sharing their wealth of experience.

The Lagos State Head of Service, Mr. Bode Agoro, represented by Mr. Irewole Ogunsakin, Director of the Post Service Department, presented the official Exit Certificates from the Lagos State Government to the retirees.
He advised them to prioritise their health, manage their resources prudently, and remain engaged in meaningful activities that would enhance their well-being in retirement.
The ceremony also featured goodwill messages from members of the council’s management team, who praised the retirees for their professionalism, mentorship, and exemplary service. Speakers described them as role models whose discipline, work ethic, and dedication would continue to inspire younger officers within the system.

In a show of appreciation, the council presented gifts to the retirees as a token of gratitude for their years of service. The gesture was met with applause and emotional moments as recipients expressed heartfelt appreciation and reflected on their journeys in public service.
A special Legislative Sitting held in honour of Mr. Amoda Sikiru Omotunde, alongside the ceremonial cake cutting, added colour and excitement to the occasion.
Family members and friends of the retirees were also present to witness the celebration, sharing in the joy and pride of their loved ones. The atmosphere was filled with warmth and nostalgia, as stories of dedication, sacrifice, and achievements were fondly recounted.

The grand send-forth ceremony not only celebrated the retirees but also reinforced the council’s culture of recognising excellence and rewarding long service.
