Eminent Muslim Personalities, Faithful Observe Eid – Ul – Fitr Prayers Across Ikorodu

Hundreds of Muslim faithful observing the 2026 Eid -ul -Fitr prayer at the Oriwu Central Mosque Eid Ground, Ikorodu on Friday.

Eminent Muslim personalities across Ikorodu Division today joined the rest of the Muslim world to observe the Eid -ul- Fitr celebration which signalled the completion of the 30 days fasting and prayers during the Holy Month.

‎Muslim faithfuls started trooping to various Eid grounds around 8:00am to observe the prayers.

‎His Eminence, Sheikh Seifudeen Ademoritan Olowooribi, the Grand Chief Imam, Ikorodu Division led the large crowd of eminent Muslim personalities and faithful among whom were the immediate past Majority Leader, Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. (Chief) Sanai Oyeniran Agunbiade, former Head of Service, Bashorun Babatunde Rotinwa and the Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, Dr. Nurudeen Agbaje and many other notables.

‎Alhaji AbdulGaniy Tijaniya, the Grand Chief Imam, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, led the congregation in special Eid ul Fitr prayer and also delivered the sermon.

‎Among eminent personalities at the Igbogbo Central Mosque Eid Ground were His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Kasali, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, Omo’ba Hammed Aroyewun, the Executive Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, Mr Waheed Kasali, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Tertiary Education, Councilor Basirat Banjoko, Council Leader, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA Legislative Arm and Alhaji Sulaimon Ayokunle, CEO Sula Bread, traditional chiefs among others.

‎At Oriwu Central Mosque, His Eminence Yahya Oshoala Ajagbemokeferi As – Samadani, the Grand Chief Imam, Oriwu Central Mosque, led hundreds of the Muslim faithful to observe the prayer.

‎Sen. Tokunbo Abiru, the Senator representing Lagos East who was represented by Dr Saheed Ibikunle, Alhaji Kamaldeen Ajalogun, former Ikorodu Local Government chairmanship aspirant including many others observed their Eid prayer at the Oriwu Central Mosque praying ground.

‎At the Eid ground of the Ansar – Ud – Deen Society of Nigeria were the Chief Judge of Lagos State, Honourable Justice Kazeem Alogba, other eminent personalities and the Muslim faithful in their large numbers. Fadhilat Imam Ibrahim Muh. Basheer Mosaku, Chief Imam/ Missioner Ansar-ud-deen Society of Nigeria, Ibeshe Branch led the prayer.

Other eminent personalities at the Ansar -Ud -Deen ground are Alhaji Mikail Ola Akinsanya, chieftain of the society and Hon. AbdulHameed Areh, Supervisor, Ikosi-Ejirin LCDA among others.

‎His Royal Majesty, Oba Saheed Hassan Adefarasin, observed the Eid ul Fitr prayer as the Alajede of Ijede at the Ijede Central Mosque prayer ground led by the Grand Chief Imam of Ijede.

‎The special end of Ramadan prayers were also observed at various Eid grounds across Ikorodu Division.
