There have been commendations for the administration of Omoba Hammed Aroyewun, the Executive Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), on the reconstruction of the Oliwo Amoju/Olayinka Road in Igbogbo.
The reconstruction work on Oliwo Amoju Street which has a covered drainage system on both sides, resurfacing of the damage road and fixing of interlock stones from the junction of Oliwo Amoju/Igbogbo/Baiyeku Road down to Hasbunallahi where the road links Olayinka Street, was completed last week, while the resurfacing of the stretch of Olayinka Street started Monday.
The link road connects the ever -busy Igbogbo/Baiyeku Road and links Solawon and the main Igbogbo/Bola Tinubu/Igbe Laara Road which is still under construction.

Engr. Yusuf Ibrahim, a popular community developer, commending the achievement of the Aroyewun administration described the project as a deliberate act of a purposeful person who is concerned about development.
“The successful reconstruction of Oliwo Amoju/Olayinka Road is a clear testament to purposeful leadership and commitment to grassroots development in Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA.
“For a road that had been abandoned for years, this intervention brings relief, improves accessibility, enhances drainage, and restores confidence in governance. The planned installation of solar street lights is also a welcome development that will further improve security and economic activities at night.”
He commended the council chairman and his team for bringing back the strategic road.

“Kudos to Omoba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun and his team for prioritising the needs of the people. May this be the beginning of more impactful projects across our LCDA.
“Progress is visible. Development is here,” he added.
While also commenting on the commencement of the resurfacing of Olayinka Street, Engr. Ibrahim said,
“The resurfacing of Olayinka Street after the successful after the successful reconstruction of Oliwo Amoju, will help the Igbogbo community in easing traffic.
“This strategic road will no doubt ease traffic, improve accessibility, and bring relief to residents and road users within the community.

“Kudos to Omo’ba Hammed Aroyewun and the Lagos State Public Works Corporation (LSPWC) for this laudable intervention.”
A political leader and former Council Leader, Ikorodu Local Government Legislative Chairman, Alhaji Sefiu Ogunyemi, popularly called “Lobito”, also commenting aftermath THE IMPACT report on the Oliwo Amoju Road, described the efforts as a good intervention.
“Honestly, it’s a nice one. More Grace and power to your elbows our dear Chairman.”
Alhaji Ogunyemi also reacting on the ongoing work on Olayinka Street, furthered showered praises on Aroyewun:
“This is fantastic and commendable. HOA, may you continue to grow in the name TALK AND DO.
“May Almighty GOD continue to be your guardian. You shall succeed in the name of Almighty GOD,” the political leader prayed.

Engr. Ahmed Abdullah (Bobomi), the newly appointed Supervisor for Works, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, also commenting, said that the reconstruction of the road is a manifesto of the GLORY Agenda of the council chairman.
“The GLORY Agenda is truly manifesting! Ona-Ogo!!!
“In less than a year, the signs of progress and transformation are evident for all to see. Power has indeed returned to the voices of the people. #HOA the Symbol!(Mr. Talk & Do).
“Igbogbo/Baiyeku is on the path to liberation!”
Another community developer and former Secretary, Igbogbo Day Planning Committee, Mr Idris Adeshina, commenting on the development, expressed his appreciation to the council team.

“God bless HOA and his entire team.
“We are grateful, Sir.”
Meanwhile, Mr Adenowo Raji O. O. A, in his own contribution, charged the local government authorities on the need to ensure maintenance of the road to prevent it from collapsing again.
He also urged the council administration to enforce discipline on the road where and when necessary.
“Maintenance to sustain is required, and it’s the responsibility of the government to ensure discipline wherever necessary, ” the concerned resident said.
