Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA Begins Resurfacing Of Olayinka Street

After executing and delivering a fully stabilised Oliwo Amoju section of the strategic Oliwo Amoju/Olayinka road reconstruction, the link road that reduces traffic on the Obafemi Awolowo/Igbogbo/Baiyeku Road, the administration of Omoba Hammed Aroyewun, Executive Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), on Monday began the resurfacing of the Olayinka axis which connects the Solawon Street.

‎The resurfacing of the road was commenced on Monday night till early this morning by the Lagos State Public Works Corporation (LSPWC), a government parastatal that is partnering with the Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA authorities to make the once abandoned road accessible again.

‎THE IMPACT reported on Monday that the Oliwo Amoju phase of the road has been fully reconstructed with interlock stones.

‎The project which is to completely resurface Olayinka Street started as the road has been covered from Moshood Hassan to Hasbunallahi School with the first asphalt cover.

‎The work is expected to resume tonight.

‎The strategic road which connects the popular Solawon Street by the PHCN Office in Igbogbo, also connects the Igbogbo/Bola Tinubu Road.
