The iCare Foundation of the representative of Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, on Saturday rounded – off Its Radan Tafsir series across the six councils in Ikorodu Division which constitute the Federal Constituency.
The Holy Month event brought Muslim faithful, Islamic scholars, and community leaders into a season of spiritual reflection and unity.
The Tafsir tour, which moved across major Central Mosques within the division, culminated in a grand finale yesterday, at the Ikorodu Central Mosque where the Grand Chief Imam of Ikorodu Division and Chief Imam of Ikorodu Central Mosque, Sheikh Seifudeen Ademoritan Ayinla Olowooribi, delivered the concluding Ramadan lecture.

The series formed part of the broader humanitarian and community engagement initiatives of the Jimi Benson iCare Foundation, founded by the Member representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rep. Jimi Benson.
The Tafsir train began its journey at Ijede Central Mosque in Ijede LCDA where the programme was hosted under the leadership of the Chief Imam of Ijede LCDA, Sheikh Sulaimon Olatunji Akinjobi.
It later moved to Igbogbo Central Mosque under the spiritual supervision of the Grand Chief Imam of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, Sheikh Abdulganiu Abolore Gazali.

The Executive Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, who attended the programme, commended Rep. Babajimi Benson for the his consistent dedication to community development and religious harmony through the numerous initiatives of the iCare Foundation.
The Tafsir series also held at Ikorodu West LCDA under the guidance of Sheikh Aridegbe Kosoko Mushafau Folohunso, Chief Imam General of Ikorodu West LCDA; Imota LCDA under the leadership of Chief Imam Adams Moruff Kolawole; Ikorodu North LCDA under the spiritual leadership of Sheikh Raji Eniijaoba; and Oriwu Central Mosque under His Eminence Yahya Olorunoshebi Oshoala Ajagbemokeferi As-Samadaani.
Throughout the tour, Islamic scholars and religious leaders praised Rep. Babajimi Benson for his unwavering support for Islamic causes within Ikorodu Division.

Many of the clerics highlighted the significance of the lawmaker’s contributions, noting that although he is a Christian, his consistent financial support to mosques, Islamic institutions, and religious programmes demonstrates a rare commitment to unity and peaceful coexistence.
In their separate remarks, the Chief Imams of the various Central Mosques offered prayers for Rep. Benson and members of the iCare Foundation, asking Allah to reward their generosity and continue to guide their efforts toward uplifting communities.
They also commended the foundation for using the Ramadan season to promote knowledge, reflection, and spiritual growth among the Muslim faithful across Ikorodu Division.

Community leaders and political stakeholders who attended the various Tafsir sessions described the initiative as an important platform for strengthening faith, fostering unity, and encouraging the values of compassion and discipline associated with the holy month of Ramadan.
The grand finale at Ikorodu Central Mosque concluded with special prayers for the peace and prosperity of Ikorodu Division, Lagos State, and Nigeria, as well as prayers for leaders at all levels of government.
Participants widely described the Ramadan Tafsir series as a meaningful initiative that reflects the inclusive leadership style of Rep. Babajimi Benson and the enduring impact of the Jimi Benson iCare Foundation in promoting social harmony and community development across Ikorodu Federal Constituency.
