The Executive Chairman, Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo- Alogba on Friday implemented more sustenance measures for the free health initiative of her administration by organising another medical outreach which attracted a massive turnout of residents.
About 1000 residents benefited from the free medical outreach which took place at the Ijede LCDA secretariat and was hosted in partnership with the Olusegun Obasanjo Foundation, with support from the Starkey Hearing Foundation, Lagos State Health Care Board, Lagos State Health District II, and the Ophthalmological Society of Nigeria, alongside the medical team from Ijede LCDA Primary Health Centre.

The initiative was targeted at elderly persons, persons with disabilities (PWD), young people, children, and other residents of Ijede and its environs.
Beneficiaries received free healthcare services, including general medical consultations, ear screening and ear syringing with provision of hearing aids, eye examinations with recommended glasses, cardiovascular screening, counselling services, and medications.

In her remarks, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, expressed gratitude to the Olusegun Obasanjo Foundation and partner organisations for selecting Ijede LCDA as a beneficiary of the outreach.
“The welfare of the people of Ijede, particularly the aged, remains a top priority of my administration,” she emphasised.
