‎The Executive Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Omoba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA), has felicitated Muslims in his council and globally on the ocassion of 2026 Ramadan fasting.

‎In a statement today, Aroyewun who is also joining Muslims in fasting, charged faithfuls to use the Holy Month to reflect on their actions and deeds and also reinvent themselves.

‎”I am happy to join all Muslims in Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA and globally to start the holy month of Ramadan 2026. I wish us a blessed Ramadan.

‎”This year Ramadan provides us a bigger opportunity to reflect, recalibrate, reinvent and take incremental actions to improve our general wellbeing. I enjoin all Muslims to do the pious work of Ramadan with all sense of responsibility.

‎”Dear Muslim Ummah, as we increase ourselves in piety, let’s live peacefully with one another. As we start the first Ashra of this Ramadan, which signifies mercy, let’s embrace compassion to one another and let’s pray for Allah’s mercy for our society and country.

‎”And as we settle into the routine of the first Ashra, let’s show mercy to others so that the mercy of Allah (SWT) for us can increase in return.
