LASUSTECH Announces Maiden Inaugural Lecture

The Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) will host its 1st Inaugural Lecture on Tuesday, 17th February 2026, at the 700-Seat Auditorium in the Ikorodu Campus. This landmark academic event underscores the university’s commitment to advancing scholarship and fostering intellectual discourse.

The lecture, titled “Lessons from Ants: Odyssey of the Insect Hunter”, will be delivered by Professor Abiodun Akinpelu Denloye, Professor of Medical and Applied Entomology.

Prof. Denloye, a distinguished scholar and alumnus of Lagos State University, has contributed extensively to the field of entomology through research, teaching, and professional service. His presentation will explore the remarkable world of ants, drawing scientific insights and broader lessons from his career as an insect researcher.

The Vice Chancellor of LASUSTECH, Professor Olumuyiwa Odusanya, will chair the occasion, highlighting the significance of this inaugural lecture in the university’s academic calendar.

Guests are expected to be seated by 1:30pm to ensure a prompt start at 2:00pm.
