With three days remaining to end the free Measles and Rubella Vaccination exercise, the authorities of Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), charge parents and guardians on the need to ensure that their children are vaccinated.
The Public Affairs Unit, Ijede LCDA, in a statement today, stated that the exercise is still ongoing at the Primary Health Centres (PHCs) across the council and other designated locations.
”Free Measles and Rubella vaccination for children is still going on at Primary Health Centres (PHCs) in Ijede and other designated temporary vaccination points.

”Parents and guardians should please bring their children for vaccination. Vaccination teams are available at schools, mosques, churches, and Baale’s houses within the community.”
While emphasising the need for parents to take advantage of the free vaccination, the council explained that the vaccination is a good protective measure against dangerous diseases.
“This vaccine protects children from measles and rubella, two dangerous but preventable diseases.

”Let us act now and protect the health of our children. No child should be left behind.
