-As Kabiyesi pays homage to Ijede progenitors, sacred places

After days at a traditional place of seclusion otherwise known as ‘Ipebi’ in the local parlance, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Hon.) Saheed Hassan Adefarasin, the Alajede of Ijede, on Saturday, January 31st, left (the Ipebi) to pay homage and perform further traditional rites.
The first point of call for Oba Adefarasin , upon leaving Ipebi, was Awo Ijinla Isese Progressive Association at Ayegbami, where members of the sect joined Emuren and other communities.

After about three hours at Ijinle, combined traditional groups led the monarch in procession round notable traditional institutions and houses. The procession led the traditionalists, Oba Adefarasin and the large residents of Ijede and others that accompanied the procession to Oju Imale at Okegbehin, Alapinni’s house, Agbo Ile Oluwo Madam, Olisa’a house, and Ajanaku’s house – the traditional ruling house of the new monarch.
After the homage paying to the Ajanaku Ruling House, where elaborate traditional ceremony took place, the procession also paid homage at Chief Mogodo House, Kara Olori Keeji, Igbo Ota (by the lagoon), Ojuye Mora, Igbo Ajede (Ajede Grove), Osugbo and finally at Igbo Eluku at Ekulu Street, Ijede.

The procession terminated at the country home of Oba Hassan Adefarasin, where the combined traditionalists performed and offered prayers.
