The Imota Local Council Development Authority has urged parents to cooperate with the team of the Lagos State Measles – Rubella and Routine Immunization Campaign in ensuring that no eligible child is left without necessary vaccination.
The council media and publicity engagement office in a statement today announced that the week-long campaign will run from Tuesday, 27th January 2026 to Wednesday, 5th February, 2026.
The exercise is scheduled to hold at all Primary Health Centres (PVC) in Imota LCDA.

According to the council, there will be Routine Immunization for children aged 0 – 23 months; Measles-Rubella Vaccination: children aged 9 months to 14 years and HPV Vaccination for 9-year-old female children.
”During this period, vaccination services will be provided free of charge at all Primary Healthcare Centres within Imota LCDA. In addition, trained health teams will conduct house-to-house visits, and also cover schools, churches, mosques, and markets across all communities to ensure wide coverage.
”Parents and guardians are strongly encouraged to present their children for vaccination. The vaccine is safe, effective, free, and protects children against vaccine-preventable diseases that can be severe or life-threatening.”

”Let us all cooperate fully with the health teams to ensure that no eligible child is left unvaccinated,” Imota LCDA authority charged.
Meanwhile, the Imota LCDA chairman, Hon Benson Sunday Ayodele had held a strategic meeting with Primary Health Centres (PHCs) and key stakeholders within the LCDA, to brief them on the council’s level of preparedness ahead of the Measles-Rubella Vaccination Campaign.
He reiterated the critical importance of the health sector to the overall well-being of the people. He expressed full support for health workers who continue to render dedicated services despite prevailing challenges.
