-Monarch appeals to lawmaker for developmental projects
The representative of Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Rep. Babajimi Benson, on Thursday visited the new Alajede of Ijede, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Hon.) Saheed Hassan Adefarasin, Ajanaku II, at his home in Ijede.
He was accompanied by Omoba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, Executive Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) and Hon. Ameen Apanisile, Executive Chairman, Ikorodu North LCDA.
Oba Adefarasin was presented with the staff of office and certificate of recognition by the Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajimi Sanwo -Olu, on Friday, January 9, at the Ijede LCDA Secretariat.
Rep. Benson during the visit congratulated the new monarch on his emergence and wished him a long reign on the throne of his ancestors.
He also assured the monarch, who until his ascension to the throne was the apex leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ijede LCDA, of his support.
The lawmaker, during the visit also thanked the stakeholders and the residents of Ijede for making strong showing in the ongoing revalidation/e-registration exercise by the APC.
In his royal message, Oba Adefarasin thanked Rep. Benson and his entourage for the visit and for the development projects and support that he has been giving to Ijede.
Oba Adefarasin specifically singled out the construction of the main Abule Eko Road that links Ijede Road to Agura/Gberigbe Road, which was facilitated by the lawmaker.
While lamenting what Ijede has suffered in the last 14 years of the Obaship impasse, he pleaded with the lawmaker to assist in facilitating more developmental projects.
The royal father also used the opportunity to ask Rep. Benson to assist in facilitating the construction of Ayegbami link road to Abule in Ijede LCDA.
Omo’ba Aroyewun and Hon. Apanisile, also congratulated Oba Adefarasion and offered special prayers to the new monarch and the representative of Ikorodu Federal Constituency.
