Rep. Babajimi Benson, representative of Ikorodu Federal Constituency, on Monday led by example by completing his e- registration exercise for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and urged his constituents to also endeavour to do the same.
The lawmaker who was captured at his Ward in Molatori alongside an APC leader in Ikorodu Division, Asiwaju Kaoli Olusanya, in a statement after his registration, also charged residents of Ikorodu to ensure that the federal constituency record the highest registered members during the exercise.
The APC e – registration exercise kicked -off yesterday.
“Earlier today at my Ward – Molatori Ward C4, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA – I successfully carried out my APC membership e-registration. Though there was a brief initial glitch, the process went smoothly thereafter, and I was duly captured and issued my e-registration print-out.
“It was also a pleasure sharing the moment with our respected party leader, Asipa Kaoli Olusanya, who equally completed his registration.
“I appreciate the Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, Omo’ba Hammed Ọlálékan Aroyewun, for the warm reception and smooth coordination, as well as Mayor Ameen Apanishile, Executive Chairman of Ikorodu North LCDA, for his solidarity. My thanks also go to the Party Secretary at the State level, Hon. Adeola Jokomba, the Party Chairman for Ikorodu LGA & Ikorodu North LCDA, Otunba Olasunkanmi Tijani, LGA Chairman Igbogbo, Hon Taiwo Orenuga, Chairman Ikorodu Central LGA, Hon. Animasaun, my Ward Chairman Hon Shehu Aganga and all party leaders and faithful who stood by me.”
Urging residents of Ikorodu on the need to also register with APC, Rep. Benson, pleaded with them to exercise patience with officials during the process.
“I encourage all APC members to remain patient, cooperate with registration officials, and seize this ongoing exercise, which closes in the next 24 days, to ensure Ikorodu Federal Constituency records the highest number of registrations.
“As we did in the last general election, let us lead again, so our people continue to benefit from the Renewed Hope Agenda of our dear President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR,” Rep. Benson said.
