Kunle Adelabu reports from AFCON, Morocco

The Super Eagles of Nigeria walloped Mambas of Mozambique 4 – 0, to ease themselves into the last eight of the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco on Monday
The game was played at the Fez Stadium, where the Eagles enjoyed massive support from not only the Nigerian supporters club and Nigerians that travelled for the tournament, but also from Moroccans who stormed the venue to root for the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman, who emerged as the player of the match, put the Super Eagles ahead in the 20th minute of the game after receiving a forward kick from Akor Adams through a square pass.

Lookman’s goal was followed by two others from Victor Osimhen in the 25th and 47th minutes of the match, while Akor Adams added the fourth, which was his first goal in the tournament at the 75th minute, to send the Mozambicans out of the AFCON.
The four goals assist came from Adams in the 20th and 25th minutes, while Lookman supplied the two other goals in the 47th and 75th minutes.
Iwobi with his creativity commanded the game for the Super Eagles, while Lookman and Adams were everywhere terrorising the team from Mozambique and Osimhen also dominated the attack making the game so easy for the Nigerian team.

It was a commanding display as the Super Eagles recorded their fourth straight win of the tournament.
In the other Round of 16 game played on Monday, Egypt defeated Benin Republic 3-1.
Nigeria will play the winner between Algeria or DR Congo on Tuesday, in Saturday’s quarter-final tie in Marrakech.
