The Executive Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Omo’ba Hameed Olalekan Aroyewun, has explained that the need to make the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) a formidable party with solid grassroots base has prompted him and other stakeholders to take the ongoing e-registration exercise of the party membership across various strategic locations in the grassroots.
While commending major political stakeholders for their support for the exercise, the council boss also urged residents of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA to register at their various wards.

“Yesterday, 5th January 2026, we took the APC Membership E-Registration Exercise straight to the grassroots across Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, because party growth must begin with the people. From Abosan (Ward C1) to Mokun (Ward C2) and Ibeshe/Owode (Ward C4), it was encouraging to see our people turn out, engage, and register with ease using the platform of the e-registration exercise.
“I was delighted to move round the wards alongside our party Chairman, Hon. Taiwo Orenuga, Ward Chairmen, and dedicated party leaders to ensure the process was peaceful, orderly, and truly accessible to all.

“The presence and support of respected leaders like H.E Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Bashorun, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe, Asiwaju Kaoli Olusanya, Hon. Babajimi Benson, and many other stakeholders further reinforced confidence in the exercise and energised our party faithful.”
Emphasising the importance of the e- registration, Aroyewun, noted:
“One message stood out clearly today: APC is strongest at the grassroots. The call for residents to come out en masse and register speaks to the heart of what we are building: unity, inclusion, progress, and a party that listens to its people.

“With accurate registration and active participation, we are laying a solid foundation for the future of our LCDA and our great party.
“I encourage all eligible members across Igbogbo and Baiyeku to continue visiting their ward registration centres. This is more than registration, it is about belonging, voice, and collective progress. Together, we will continue to build a stronger APC and a better IBLCDA,” he added.
