The Igbogbo Students’ Union (ISU), will, today, continue its tradition of sustaining its 70 years old legacy of smooth transition of leadership with the inauguration of a new executive council that will steer its ship for the next two years.
The inauguration is scheduled for 10am at the Adeboruwa palace, Igbogbo.
In accordance with the union’s constitution, the election of new executive members took place at the Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA secretariat on Sunday, December 28, 2025, and the newly elected officers will take over from the Comrade Abdulsalam Tijani led cabinet that has completed its two years tenure.

Comrade Kuti Dare, a former President of the union and former President, National Association of Ikorodu Division Students (NAIDS -National), who was the President Officer, announced that 102 members of the union were eligible to vote and after the conduct of the elections, Comrade Yunus Malik O., the outgoing Director of Studies, emerged as the President – elect with 98 votes.
Also elected were Comrade Ojikutu Peace O., Vice President- elect with 98 votes, Comrade Ogunyemi Olayinka, General Secretary with 99 votes and Comrade Amusa Fathia who emerged as the Assistant General Secretary with 98 votes.

Others elected were Abdul-Yekini Umar, Director Of Social – elect with 100 votes, Comrade Kuti David, Director Of Sports with 100 votes, Comrade Quadri Uthman A., Director Of Studies- elect with 100 votes, Comrade Sholawon Iseoluwa, Director Of Welfare -elect with 99 votes, Comrade Musliu Faruq, Director of Information and Publicity -elect with 99 votes and Comrade Faniyi Oluwabukola, Director Of Finance -elect with 97 votes.
