Residents of Adogun community in Imota Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Ikorodu Division, Lagos State, Southwest, Nigeria, have been commending the council boss, Hon. Benson Sunday Ayodele, for his administration’s efforts in making their roads motorable.
Areas within the Adogun community which the council’s graders have touched include Cele 3, Odus Street, Ifa One, Zone 4, and other parts of Adogun Community, as well as Unity Avenue Road, Uptown Road, Majaworo, Library Entrance, Lolo CDA, and Cele One.
The road grading exercise which covers Atere Ward A and Itun-Opopo/Itun-Onabu Ward C areas of the council, according to the council’s Media and Publicity Engagement Office, was described as the first of its kind in the affected communities. The initiative aims to open up long-neglected earth roads and stimulate unprecedented development within the LCDA.

The project is being monitored and supervised by the Councillor representing Ward C and Deputy leader of the Imota LCDA Legislative Arm, Councillor Sunday Aberuagba, who said that the grading of the roads is part of the BSA-led administration’s broader efforts to enhance infrastructural development at the grassroots level.
Councilor Aberuagba reaffirmed the Benson Sunday Ayodele and Bisoye Omowunmi Jimoh (BSA-BOJ) administration’s commitment to sustainable development, stressing that improved road infrastructure is vital to attracting investors and ensuring socio-economic growth in the area. According to him, many of the major access roads in Ward C had long required urgent intervention.
He added that consistent maintenance and intervention, particularly roads, would ease movement within communities and facilitate the transportation of farm produce to major markets across the LCDA significantly.

Community members have also expressed appreciation for the project. Mr. Olayiwola, a resident of Adogun Community, expressed deep appreciation to the Executive Chairman, community leaders, stakeholders, and the legislative arm for their collective support and cooperation.
“We are profoundly grateful to the Executive Chairman for the ongoing grading of rural roads in our ward. This initiative is a powerful testament to his unwavering political will and commitment to grassroots development. He continues to think outside the box to ensure the dividends of democracy reach every nook and cranny of our LCDA,” he said.
Mr. Olayiwola further expressed optimism that this significant achievement would be consolidated and looked forward with great optimism to the many more life-changing projects we are confident will follow under BSA’s visionary stewardship. “He has demonstrated that effective governance is not just a promise, but a reality,” he added.

He urged residents of Imota LCDA to remain patient and continue supporting the local government’s development efforts, expressing optimism that more impactful projects would follow.
Another resident, Alhaja Sherifat also praised the Executive Chairman for sustaining the pace of grassroots infrastructural development, describing the project as a clear demonstration of the administration’s commitment to enhancing accessibility and promoting community development across Imota LCDA.
“The ongoing road grading project under the BSA-led administration reflects his dedication to infrastructure development and marks another strategic step towards positioning Imota LCDA among the fast-developing council areas in Lagos State,” Imota LCDA Media & Publicity Engagement Office added.
