In the spirit of the season, the Omo’ba Hammed Aroyewun led Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) will today hold its much – expected food palliative and cash transfer programme.
The food distribution is tagged “Ounje HOA” and the transfer is scheduled for UAMC Eleja Primary School, Igbogbo for hundreds of residents.
According to the council, the food and cash gestures are to support residents during the festive season.
“The season of love and giving is only meaningful when no household is left behind.

“In the spirit of compassion and shared responsibility, the Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (IBLCDA), under the leadership of Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, is rolling out the Oúnjẹ HOA Food and Cash Transfer Programme to support residents during this festive season.
“This initiative is designed to bring relief and hope to elderly residents, vulnerable households, and individuals across the LCDA by providing essential food items alongside cash support, ensuring that families can celebrate the Yuletide with dignity, warmth, and peace of mind.”
The council thanked stakeholders especially those who are supporting the advancement of the society and enjoined others to extend good gestures to those in need during the season:

“We sincerely appreciate our political leaders, community leaders, eminent personalities, and all selfless individuals who continue to invest in the wellbeing of our people. Your commitment to humanity strengthens our community and reminds us that progress is most meaningful when it is shared.
“We also encourage everyone who can to extend a hand of love to others. A society thrives when compassion becomes our culture, for no one should eat in comfort while their neighbour goes to bed hungry.
“This season, let us share hope. Let us share kindness. Let us share joy. Compliments of the Season.”
