The Special Adviser on Rural Development to the Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, has commended the ongoing road projects being embarked upon by the state government in various locations across the Ikorodu Division.
The Office of Rural Development has continued to monitor and assess ongoing rural infrastructure projects across the division with the recent one, according to Dr Agbaje in a statement on Sunday morning, carried out on Friday.
Agbaje, with his team which included chieftains of the Community Development Committee (CDCs) and Community Development Associations (CDAs), inspected road constructions at Egbeyemi Monsuru–Alhaja Agbaje Street road project and Ito Community road.

“On December 18, 2025, stakeholder engagements and on-the-spot inspections were conducted on the 1.3km Egbeyemi Monsuru–Alhaja Agbaje Street Road project.
“The assessment revealed commendable progress, with construction of two-sided drainage currently in progress and soft grading already commenced, paving the way for subsequent stages of the project”, Dr Agbaje said.
Similarly, the Office of Rural Development inspected the 5km Ito Community Road and grading project in Isiwu, Ikorodu North LCDA.

“The project has greatly improved accessibility within the rural community, benefiting farmers, traders, and transport operators, while also enhancing security through improved road connectivity.
“These ongoing road infrastructure projects reaffirm the commitment of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration to inclusive development and sustained investment in rural infrastructure across Lagos State”, Dr Agabje added.
