It was another wonderful moment at the Kith & Kin Educational Schools (KKES), when staff were honoured, while pupils and students of various schools within the KKES had a memorable and fun -filled experience as they celebrated the Yuletide Season.
Like the previous editions, the 2025 KKES December Carnival was a filled with fun, colourful moment and great feelings as parents and guests turned out in large numbers to join the school in celebrating the special occasion.
Olori Kudirat Shotobi, the wife of the Ayangbure of Ikorodu, was also part of the celebration as the royal mother of the day. The Treasure of Ikorodu was accompanied by Aremo Adeniyi Shotobi, members of the royal family and her grandchildren.

The veteran Nollywood actor, Prince Jide Kosoko chaired the occasion, which also has Hon. Suleiman Kazeem Olanrewaju, Chairman, Ikorodu West LCDA, Mr. Oluwole Osewa, KKES Parents’ Forum Chairman among other eminent individuals in attendance.
At the event which was held at KKES Sports Arena, four teaching staff were honoured with special award plaques, frame of their portrait to be hung at the school hall, and monetary reward of N150, 000 for their outstanding performance. These honorees were Mrs Esther Omolawon, a Geography and Social Studies teacher with the Kith & Kin International College, Mrs Kudirat Damola, a teacher with the Kith & Kin Primary & Montessori Schools (KKPMS), Helen Chioma, KKPMS and Mr Ezekiel Yakubu, a teacher with the Kith & Kin British Academy (KKBA).

In the Non – teaching category were Mr Ebenezer Akinola, Mrs Charity Obikeme, Oluwafunmilayo Ajayi and Fatimah Adekanbi. They were presented award plaques, certificates, and N150, 000, to appreciate their diligence and dedication.
The Chief Learning Officer, Asiwaju Kaoli Olusanya, speaking at this year’s edition of KKES Carnival said the school management is honouring another set of teaching and non – teaching staff who have distinguished themselves in classrooms, kitchen, field of sports and other departments of the school.
“We want to single out these names as champions to be emulated. We want to encourage them inspire others to also distinguish themselves in the coming year.
“We want to give incentives to say thank you, you have done well. This is a challenge to you to do more and not the end of the journey,” he assured.

The KKES CLO furthered, “The frame will be hung on the school wall for a year, and you have to work hard to maintain the status and honour if you still want it there next year. “
Prince Jide Kosoko, a veteran Nollywood actor, who chaired the occasion, thanked the KKES management for the wonderful moment to celebrate teachers and other staff and for pupils and students to enjoy themselves.
The celebrity who said that his grandchildren in the school are doing very well commended the proprietor for taking good care of them and ensuring high academic standards. He appreciated teachers, too, and also commended parents for being there for their children.
There were performances by the KKES Central Choir, KKMS, KKNPS, KKBA, KKIC, and the staff of the school.

The entrance of the Santa Claus threw the whole arena into frenzy as pupils and students ran after the Santa and his entourage who came into the venue singing Christmas songs and waving at the crowd. Pupils of the school were presented with various gift items by the Santa.
Immediately after the presentations and short speeches, it was time for what has characterised the annual event as the climax – fireworks which lasted for about an hour non – stop, with students and their parents capturing the wonderful moment with their phones and loud shout as the fireworks lit the sky.
