The Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Barr.) Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, on Sunday, honoured the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Omoba Hammed Aroyewun, with an award of excellence.
The Adeboruwa Award of Excellence, which came as a surprise for the council administrator, was presented to him at the special luncheon with the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, held at Mikson Onas Hall, Igbogbo, as part of the activities commemorating the ongoing 37th Igbogbo Day.
The honour, according to the Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman, Mr Oluwaseun Ajayi, underscores the remarkable contributions of Aroyewun within the short period he assumed office as the Chief Executive Officer of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA.

“The honour, which came as a pleasant surprise before an assembly of eminent sons and daughters of Igbogbo Kingdom, celebrates the Chairman’s remarkable contributions to the progress and transformation of the LCDA.
“It also recognises his unwavering dedication to human-centred governance, social development, and a leadership style rooted in compassion, integrity, and responsive service.
“The award affirms Chairman Aroyewun’s commitment to inclusive growth, community engagement, cultural preservation, and reforms that directly improve the welfare of residents. It further underscores the resonance of purposeful, transparent, and people-focused leadership across the Igbogbo/Baiyeku axis”, he said.

Meanwhile, the Chairman, while accepting the honour, was appreciative of the honour bestowed on him by the royal father, and reaffirmed his resolve to continue working tirelessly for a safer, more prosperous, and more progressive Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA.
The Council expressed its deep appreciation to His Royal Majesty, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, the Adeboruwa-in-Council, and the Igbogbo Day Planning Committee, for their exceptional organisation of the Luncheon, which, once again, reflected the unity, heritage, and enduring spirit of the Igbogbo community.
