Comrade Lekan Biliamni Oba, Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor of Lagos State on Social Development, and another prominent Ikorodu son, Barr. Hamzat Jimoh, have extended their felicitations to the Ayangbure of Ikorodu, His Royal Majesty Oba (Engr.) Kabir Adewale Shotobi, and the entire residents of Ikorodu on the occasion of the 34th Ikorodu – Oga Day Celebration.
The week – long celebration began today with Inter-denominational prayer, Woro Procession and Fanti Carnival.
Comrade Oba in a statement congratulating the monarch and residents, said:
“I heartily join the Sons, Daughters and good residents of Ikorodu City to felicitate with our revered Kabiyesi and the Executive of IKODASS as we celebrate this year’s Ikorodu-Oga Festival in a grand style.
“I wish us a funfilled celebration. Ajodun kodun aroko.”
Another prominent son of Ikorodu who issues based abroad, Barr. Hamzat Jimoh, popularly called “Ohun Ikorodu”, also congratulating the royal father and residents including the sons and daughters of Ikorodu in the diaspora, wish them happy and prosperous celebrations.
